ReplyDelete"Hi, I'm Donatello, I'm an artist.."
ReplyDelete"Hello Donatello. How are you? Good? Good. So tell us about yourself Mr. D. Do you mind if i call you that?"
"Not at all John, So as you know i'm Donatello, I was born in Florence, Italy, and i went to Padua for a little bit, but that place just wasn't happening, so I've returned to Florence. So uh yeah.
"Do you have any particular work you're working on right now? anything worth mentioning?"
"I'm working on this great sculpture right now, it's coming along really well. I call it Judith and Holofernes. I'll give a link at the end of this interview here for all the readers."
"What is your.. uh.. favorite medium? that you work in? Mr. Don?
"Yeah uh. i like to do sculptures in either marble or bronze maybe."
"Interesting, Interesting.. Is there a certain technique you use in your work?
"Yes sir, i've uh, invented this technique i call the shallow relief technique. In the shallow relief technique the sculpture seems deep but is actually done on a very shallow plane. I like to use that sometimes."
"What would you consider your most famous work?"
"St. Mark or David, my second one, mainly because of it's controversy over it's homo-erotic nature, but still."
"What do you think you'll be remembered for?"
" My art.... Just Kidding" (laughs)"But seriously I'd like to think I'd be remembered for my unique style, my contributions to the artists library of techniques, things of that nature."
"Well it's been good having you for this short interview Mr. Donatello."
"Thank you for having me! Let me post you those links!"

"Hi I'm John and i have with me here mister Masaccio. And he's here to talk to us about his art"
ReplyDelete"Hello John.. Happy to be here, always good to get some publicity, good publicity that is (laughs)."
"Well let's get started, Where are you from? do you still live there?"
"I was born in uhh Castel San Giovanni di Altura, which is a provence in Tuscany. I travel a lot to work, so i can't really say i "live" in a certain place".
"Anything you're working on now? that you'd like to share with our readers on the internet?"
"yeah i'm working on an alter-piece for a chapel of St. Julian called Madonna and Child. I'll post a link at the end of the interview."
" Do you have a favorite medium that you use in your art?"
" Oh yes Fresco definitely. A very good amount of my work is Fresco."
"Are there any techniques that you are known to use in your art?"
" I've been complimented previously on my perspective, my very realistic foregrounds and backgrounds, i guess you could call those techniques because they help bring realism to the art, so i brag a lot about that."
" Oh yes i agree. What would you say is your most the most famous of your works?"
" I would say either the Expulsion From the Garden of Eden or The Trinity, Which i'll show you."
" Sounds good.. One Mas question (laughs)... What do you think you'll be remembered for?
" Oh definitely my contributions to Fresco painting to the renaissance period, my style is very prominent throughout other artists work, i'm very clever and other artists know this and they copy me, it's simple as that."
" (laughs) well thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come and talk to us i look forward to seeing what you do next"
